Dear Sister, Seek the Lord and Rest in Him

(Part 1 — From Survival to Surrender)

If you’ve been surviving for a long time, I want to tell you this: God sees you.

It’s okay. You are allowed to pause, to rest, and to breathe.

Surviving looks like waking up every day and doing what needs to be done,

even when your heart feels heavy,

even when your body is tired,

even when your soul feels unseen.

You’ve been strong because you had no other choice.

You learned how to keep going through trauma, disappointment, loneliness, and loss.

People praised your strength, but rarely asked how much it cost you.

And somewhere along the way, survival became your normal.

But, dear sister…

you were never meant to just survive.

I want to invite you to seek God, because His Word says:

“You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.”

— Jeremiah 29:13

Jesus loves you deeply, and He promised He would be with us always.

Don’t try to fight your battles by yourself.

Don’t be anxious about anything.

Jesus says gently:

“Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

— Matthew 11:28

Not advice.

Not pressure.

An invitation.

And He also tells us:

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”

— Matthew 7:7

If you are tired, you are not weak.

If you are exhausted, it does not mean you lack faith.

It means you’ve been carrying more than you were meant to carry alone.

So seek God first.

Ask for help.

Seek Him before going to bed and before leaving your house.

Jesus is the One who can fight all your battles.

He is healing.

He is peace.

He is love.

He can restore your soul.

This letter is not asking you to change your life overnight.

It’s here to gently guide you.

For 2026:

seek the Lord,

pray more,

read the Bible,

and rest in Him.

You are allowed to bring your tired heart to God exactly as it is.

And I’m just here to remind you of this:

You will overcome.

You are not alone.

God is with you.

With love,

Your Sister 🤍
