Dear Sister, You Did Enough This Year

As the year comes to an end,

I know many women begin to reflect

what was accomplished,

what went wrong,

and the goals left unfinished.

That’s natural.

But sometimes, in looking back,

we place too much pressure on ourselves

and we forget how much we carried.

So today, softly and truthfully,

I want to tell you something:

I am proud of you, love.

I’m proud of you if you graduated,

got married,

passed your job probation,

travelled the world,

met new people,

or welcomed a baby into your life.

I’m proud of you if you learned to say no without guilt.

If you placed boundaries where there used to be silence.

If you chose yourself for the first time.

And to the women who walked away from abuse

I am so proud of you.

God will walk beside you through the healing.

I’m proud of you for recognising harmful family patterns

and choosing to end generational cycles.

You fell, but you stood back up.

Even when the year wasn’t easy,

you trusted God and He carried you.

Even when you felt exhausted, confused, or overwhelmed,

you didn’t give up.

And for that, sister,

I celebrate you.

God gave you another year

another chance filled with lessons, growth, and quiet blessings.

You are still breathing.

And that matters more than you know.

I want to remind you of this:

You don’t have to measure your year by productivity.

You don’t have to justify your survival.

Healing is progress.

Rest is progress.

Choosing peace is progress.

Some years are for building.

Some are for breaking cycles.

Some are simply for staying alive.

All of them are meaningful.

If this year taught you anything, let it be this:

• You are stronger than you think.

• You are not behind.

• God has not forgotten you.

The next year doesn’t need perfection

it only needs your presence.

Step into it gently.

With faith.

With self-compassion.

A Prayer of Gratitude & Renewal

Dear God,

Thank You for carrying me through this year

for every lesson, every protection, and every quiet victory.

Thank You for not giving up on me,

even when I struggled to keep going.

Thank You for my family, my work, and my friendships.

For what stayed, and for what left.

Bless the year ahead.

Guide my steps.

Heal what still hurts.

Help me grow into the woman You created me to be.

Amen.

Sister, you did enough this year.

You are enough.

And the next chapter is waiting for you

soft, hopeful, and full of grace.

I’m proud of you.

With love,

Josefina. ✦
